Mauricio now lives in Taranaki having moved from Te Awanga near Hastings and paints on various mediums. In 2019 he was selected to be the only artist for the HB Wine Auction.

My Fireplace Is Cool is painted on the inside of an old drawer, so the frame is quite deep 7cm. It has such a cool retro vibe. The outside measurements are 50cm wide by 70cm high.
